There is no explanation for a disease never before seen in the community, the old and wise men spoke out to alert that divers had raised the wrath of the mermaid.

Turner published México Bárbaro, a book that reveals the slavery networks that operated under the dictatorship of Porfirio Díaz. In 2010, amidst the celebrations for the Centennial and Bicentennial of the Mexican Revolution and Independence, the slavery networks still exist.
