1962 year. Cuban Missile Crisis. The world is on the brink of nuclear disaster. Khrushchev has no leverage over the stubborn commander. The only thing he could do was send someone to Cuba whom he trusted, someone who could convince Castro. This person was Anastas Mikoyan. He was accompanied on his mission by Roman Carmen, a legendary cameraman who filmed the Spanish Civil War, World War II and the Nuremberg Trials. Mikoyan's business trip lasted almost a month. Day after day, step by step, like a real psychologist, he talked with Castro and Che Guevara, listened to their calls to "die beautifully" and destroy the enemy with one blow, and tried to persuade Cuba to compromise to save the world. This film was born thanks to recently declassified documents.

The heroic fate of Mikhail Devyataev, fighter pilot, Hero of the Soviet Union, honorary citizen of the city of Kazan and the Republic of Mordovia is not a myth, although it looks like a Hollywood blockbuster in tortuous and thrilling scenario. He passed through four death camps and on 8 February 1945 he escaped from the Usedom Island concentration camp aboard a Heinkel 111 bomber with 9 Soviet suicide bombers. Usedom Island was home to the highly secret German missile center in Peenemünde, where the world's only V-2 ballistic rocket was tested, the weapon of revenge, as Hitler called them. Historians have described as miraculous the fact that the Heinkel 111, which Mikhail Devyataev assimilated the controls practically in the air, could not be shot down by the German fighters sent in alarm.

In September 2016, the St. Petersburg artist Sergey Dreyden turns 75 years old. He rehearses new plays, is shot by young directors. It is not assigned to any theater, it does not belong to any group. It exists by itself, suddenly appearing on one or another scene. The film is a unique experience of documentary observation of an actor for several years. The basis of the plot is rehearsals of one role in the performance of the St. Petersburg Youth Theater "Wine from dandelions, or Zamri." The process of the birth of a character is no less exciting and interesting than the performance itself. Around the main "rehearsal" story - episodes from life, stories about childhood against the background of their own drawings, paintings.

The hydrographic expedition of the Arctic Ocean (or GESLO, 1910-1915) made the last great geographical discovery – the Northern Land (then the Land of Emperor Nicholas II) and was the first to pass the Northern Sea Route from east to west, from Vladivostok to Arkhangelsk, overwintering at Cape Chelyuskin. According to Amudsen, "if this expedition had happened at a different time, it would have caused the admiration of the whole world." But in Soviet times, the most productive and successful Arctic expedition of the early twentieth century was "erased" from history. The reason is the participation of Admiral Kolchak in its organization. Unique archival materials immerse the viewer in a gripping dramatic story.

An almost unknown girl Frida accompanied Aleksandr Volodin to the front. When he returned, he married her. A sense of duty and gratitude bound them, but this did not prevent him from continuing to search for a female ideal... The name of the poet and playwright Aleksandr Volodin is familiar to everyone who loves russian cinema and theater. The films Elder Sister, Five Evenings, The Magician, Autumn Marathon, the famous performances of the Tovstonogov's BDT and Efremov's Sovremennik, staged according to his plays, were remembered for their unique intonation, the soft, not at all edifying voice of a person who knows something about life that we pass by without noticing. Most of Volodin's works are autobiographical, he writes about his generation, about the generation "scorched by war".
