Jale, a free-spirited street vendor in her late thirties, roams around the forsaken shores of the Bosphorus. She crosses paths with heartbroken teenagers, an obnoxious admirer, exorcists, exhibitionists, fellow street sellers, fisherwomen and treasure-hunters. Like frogs gathered around a pond, they only have each other––and the timeworn, yet still glittering, Diamond Sea.

The film is about our innate and instinctive kindness before we become good persons. It relates in detail the transformation of the concept of BEING GOOD and the EVIL within that concept. It is the struggle of a humane character that has faced hardships and is now homeless. In time he also gets stuck in the ordinary concept of kindness. It tells the story of the destruction, imbalance and clashes that humaneness and conscience, kindness and wickedness cause in our lives, how they turn those lives into a black comedy.

Crime and Punishment set in Turkey. Bilal worked as a torturer for the military regime in the 1980s that murdered Selman's sons. Selman now has a gun on Bilal in a cave. Upon the illness of Cevahir's grandmother Hafize; a treasure map passes by the hand of Cevahir who is trying to find enough money for the treatment. Bilal, the enemy of Cevahir, picks up the smell of the incident and takes half of the map and heads for Ayvalik. Cevahir and Ulvi fall together on Ayvalik road. They all find themselves in situations, events, and troubles that they have never expected in a journey of search for treasure and adventure.

Istanbul 2014: Aslı gives shelter to a young political activist, who got into a fight with the police. The police investigates the case and ends up questioning Aslı's family. Her husband gets drawn into the affair. Their lives, and also their son's, start to become compromised. The situation escalates, as Aslı is not willing to cooperate with the investigators.

In a brawl Zagor kills the 'protector' of the family of Ugur and runs away with Ugur. After two subsequent murders he gets caught and Ugur asks for Bekir's help. She becomes a singer - whore and starts living from city to city following Zagor who is in prison, while Bekir follows her despite the fact that in the meantime he got married and has a child.

Elephants and Grass (Turkish: Filler ve Çimen) is a 2001 Turkish drama film, written and directed by Derviş Zaim, about six different stories that merge into a common theme. The film, which went on nationwide general release across Turkey on January 5, 2001, won awards at film festivals in Antalya and Istanbul, including the Golden Orange Behlül Dal Jury Special Award.
