En los Alpes Ötztal, hace más de 5.300 años, se estableció un clan neolítico, cuyo líder, Kelab, era el guardián del santuario sagrado, Tineka. Un día, mientras Kelab se marcha a cazar, el asentamiento es atacado y los miembros de la tribu brutalmente asesinados, incluyendo la esposa de Kelab y su hijo. El santuario es robado y el único superviviente es un bebé recién nacido. Cegado por el dolor, Kelab emprende un viaje para buscar venganza y no tiene otra opción que llevarse al niño con él.
