A finales de los 60 un juicio celebrado en Roma causó sensación. El chico, a instancias de su familia, fue encerrado en un hospital psiquiátrico y sometido a una serie de descargas eléctricas devastadoras, destinadas a ayudarlo a "recuperarse" de esta influencia "diabólica". Una antigua prisión del siglo XIX, ubicada en una zona inaccesible e indeterminada del territorio italiano, está siendo abandonada. Por problemas burocráticos, los traslados están bloqueados, y quedan alrededor de una docena de presos, con pocos agentes, esperando nuevos destinos.
