La gaviota huérfana es bautizada con el nombre de Afortunada por toda la comunidad de los gatos, que se ha visto involucrada por Zorbas en la tarea de criar a esta insólita hija. La pequeña Afortunada, deberá aprender a conocerse y comprender que no es un gato antes de poder aprender a volar. Mientras, deberá combatir al lado de sus amigos felinos para impedir la llegada del Gran Ratón que, junto con una horda de ratones, espera en las alcantarillas la ocasión para tomar el poder de la ciudad.
