The Futurist Manifesto
Director
An colossal audiovisual adaption of Marinetti’s Futurist Manifesto, by one of the uncontested master isolationists of the ethereal static sounds, a sonic symphony of the unconscious and a defiant deccelerationist critique of today's society through the ultimate modern text. Thomas Köner has crafted the ultimate 4 bpm masterpiece.
Nuuk
Music
Köner uses sequences of images from webcams as raw material. People and their vehicles appear acoustically, but not visually. The shift from day to night and the influence of the weather gives motion to the segments. He condenses a total of 3,000 individual web images taken from the Internet into one scene. Despite the cinematic motion of the image, it seems like a still photo.

Banlieue Du Vide
Sound
"During last winter I collected (via the Internet) about 3000 pictures taken by surveillance cameras. The images I selected show empty roads at night, covered with snow. The soundtrack consists of grey noise and traffic sounds, created from memory. The only movement that is visible are the changes of snow covering the roads."

Tabula Smaragdina
Director
A 1997 live recording of Thomas Köner & Jürgen Reble's collaborative film. A separate final version was released as a digital recording in 2010.
Unstable Materials
Music
This film is made by some beautiful and unique alchemical transformations of the film material itself. It is a visual expedition into the world of matter, which shows the bizarre richness of the smallest particles floating in the film emulsion. The crystals' constantly changing structures, enriched by the textures, bring about an almost tactile experience, a visual expression of its own base matter.(Jürgen Reble)
