En Afganistán, los chicos jóvenes que se prostituyen y bailan vestidos de chicas ante un público masculino, bajo la protección de un jefe, se llaman "batchas". Este cortometraje cuenta la historia de Saman, uno de estos batchas, que ve con preocupación la llegada del joven Bijane, un chico más joven que él y que va a remplazarlo dentro de poco. Saman, a pesar de sentir celos de que el joven le robe la protección y sentimientos de Farroukhzad, el jefe, tiene que iniciarle en el baile y enseñarle la técnica.
