Ten years after being thrown out of her parental home, Nur hears that her mother is at death's door. Taking her young daughter with her, Nur hurries back to her father's world to see, and reconcile with her mother before it is too late. While the universal theme of mother-daughter relationships lies at the centre of the film, this is underpinned by an allusive subtext of incest, one of most common but least addressed social problems in Turkey. The individual stories of the family members combine with a sense of hope fuelled by tragedy to paint a portrait of the socially disconnected.
A man and woman meet during the identification of their spouses' dead bodies, following a car accident. It turns out that the they had an affair with each other. Feelings like jealousy, shame, wrath that struck them at the beginning, leave their place to understanding. The man and the woman start seeing each other. First, they hesitate to start an affair, yet later they cannot control their feelings. They unite in a love affair, not caring about the values and judgments of the people around them.
Una prisión en Turquía. Cinco prisioneros reciben permiso para viajar a sus casas durante una semana. Los difíciles viajes para llegar hasta sus familias nos conducen a las regiones más alejadas de Turquía. Cada uno de ellos tiene sus propios problemas, preocupaciones y nostalgias. Rigurosas leyes, escritas y no escritas, y un sistema brutal son una carga que pesa sobre ellos. Sufren violencia y ejercen violencia. Las vacaciones, comenzadas con esperanza, terminan con dolor.
