La película es secuela de Ia serie de televisión, después de que Kuroko y Kagami pasan a ser estudiantes de segundo año. Un equipo americano de baloncesto callejero (“street basket”) llamado Jabberwock, viaja a Japón para jugar un -partido amistoso con un equipo japonés, pero tras una apabullante derrota del equipo local, los miembros del Jabberwock se mofan del baloncesto japonés. Fue entonces cuando se le apareció un hada en forma de huevo y selló sus palabras, evitando así que pudiera herir nunca a nadie más con ellas. Desde entonces, esta traumática experiencia ha empujado a Jun a vivir a la sombra de los demás y a encerrarse en sí misma. Sin embargo, lo que no sabe es que su vida dará un giro de 180 grados el día en que sale elegida como miembro ejecutivo del "Consejo estudiantil", donde además le tocará interpretar el papel principal en el musical del instituto.
