Monolithic power plants; billowing columns of smoke; the backdrop of a red sun. Sirens is an experimental short documentary that captures Germany’s coal-fired power plants in their final years of generating energy. Shot entirely from helicopters, the film takes us on a journey through industrial wastelands, thus recalling the passage of Ulysses’ boat through the Sirens’ strait. An odyssey through the dystopian industrial world that has left a permanent mark on earth’s ecosphere.

Ciro Galindo nació el 29 de agosto de 1952 en Colombia. A donde quiera que ha ido, la guerra lo ha encontrado. Tras 20 años de amistad con Ciro, comprendí que su vida resume la historia de Colombia. Como tantos colombianos, es un sobreviviente, que después de sesenta años de huir de la guerra, sueña con vivir en paz. “Ciro y Yo” es un viaje a la memoria en busca de darle palabra al dolor; un viaje, como el de Colombia en tiempos de paz, en busca de recuperar su dignidad.

Autorretrato del Grupo de Cali, también conocido como "Caliwood", un grupo de cinéfilos, que en medio de la rumba desenfrenada y del caos histórico de los años 70s y 80s, lograron producir un conjunto de obras cinematográficas que ya son parte fundamental de la historia del cine colombiano. A su vez, es la historia clínica del propio realizador, quien se enfermó gravemente durante la producción del film. Es el relato de un sobreviviente.
