"Un 8 de enero de 1988, cuando tenía 10 años de edad, mis padres decidieron irse de vacaciones y dejarme al cuidado de mis hermanos Santiago de 17 años y Andrés de 14. Ese día yo tenía una fiesta infantil y ellos debían buscarme por la tarde. Llegó la noche y el resto del amanecer estuve parada en una ventana, esperando. Nunca llegaron. Luego de un año de desconocimiento y angustia descubrimos que ese día mis hermanos fueron secuestrados, torturados, asesinados y desaparecidos por la policía ecuatoriana, sin razón alguna. Sus cuerpos fueron arrojados en la laguna de Yambo, nunca los encontramos". Este documental es un viaje personal, mezclado con la memoria de todo un país marcado por la violencia.

This documentary reveals the lack of opportunities, discrimination, and economic and social segregation that black communities face in Ecuador.
