Montevideo, the 90's. Clara is a girl victim of school bullying who was never invited to a birthday. In the playground, she watches how some classmates are giving birthday cards to several girls and boys… but not to her. But this time something is going to change. A hairdresser makes her a special hairstyle for the occasion and her mother fixes a dress that she could never wear before. Clara wants to know what it feels like to go to a birthday party and she uses imagination and creativity to achieve it.

En una sociedad distópica aparecen diferentes empresas deterministas. Su objetivo: crear un ordenador perfecto que sea capaz de predecir el destino de las personas para así privarlas de cualquier toma de decisión. Para luchar contra estas empresas aparecen grupos anarquistas que defienden el derecho a la libertad. Una noche, un grupo de liberales capitaneados por Oscar decide infiltrarse en el sistema de seguridad de EON Corp., la empresa determinista más importante, para poder sacar a Alex, una persona clave para los planes de EON Corp.
