Srdan Golubović (Cyrillic: Срдан Голубовић; born August 24, 1972) is a Serbian film director. Golubović's father was the film director Predrag Golubović. His first feature film Absolute 100 participated in main programs of over thirty international film festivals, including Cottbus, Rotterdam, Thessaloniki, Toronto, and San Sebastian, winning 10 international and 19 domestic awards. His second feature film Klopka ('The Trap') had its world premiere at the Berlinale in 2007. The film has won a total of 21 international awards and was shortlisted for the Oscar in Best Foreign Language Film category. Along with a team of young film artists, Golubović is the primary vehicle behind the production company Baš Celik, making music videos for a number of established local music artists, as well as commercials and marketing campaigns. He is an assistant professor of Film Directing at The Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade. His 2013 film Circles has been selected as the Serbian entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 86th Academy Awards. His 2020 film Father won the Panorama Audience Award at the 70th Berlin International Film Festival. Marko es un joven director de 30 años de Belgrado. Tras no conseguir financiación para su primera película, conoce de casualidad a Cane, un director porno y empieza a hacer películas con él. En el Belgrado de la posguerra conviven las las viejas y las nuevas formas de corrupción, al tiempo que el abismo entre ricos y pobres es cada vez más profundo. La reciente guerra, tan cruel e implacable ha desencadenado en la ciudad una especie de desierto moral y existencial. En ese contexto, la situación de la familia Mladen es muy dramática: a su hijo Nemanja le diagnostican una grave afección cardíaca, y los médicos insisten en que sea operado en el extranjero. Conseguir el dinero necesario es casi imposible. Sin embargo, cuando la familia está ya al borde de la desesperación, el padre conoce a un hombre dispuesto a proporcionarle esa cantidad a cambio de que mate a su rival en los negocios.

Sonja, once a popular Serbian actress settled in Slovenia is on a short visit to Belgrade. She panics claiming that her daughter Sofia has been kidnapped, then disappears. Inspector Despotovic is assigned to the case and when he finds Sonja, she admits that she made everything up, that she never had a child, and therefore there was no kidnapping. But a Secret Service veteran approaches Despotovic and tells him that the story about kidnapping is true. It is highly classified information. The father of the child is Foreign Affairs Minister. On the other hand, Minister claims that the Secret Service has made everything up trying to compromise him. Despotovic is puzzled... Who is lying? Who is telling the truth? Who is insane?
