Philipp wishes to give his terminally ill father Walter one last treat. To coax him out of his hospital bed he tells a white lie: Philipp pretends that his father has won the lottery.

Alex, Fedja, Timo and Lara are four troubled teens for whom the upcoming Christmas eve isn't a time of peace and joy: Since they all have a history of escalating family conflicts, they'll be spending the holidays not at home, but in a psychiatric ward. The utterly different adolescents not only have to adjust to one another, but also have to confront themselves in exhausting therapy sessions. Yet thanks to the unorthodox psychiatrist Dr. Wolf, the sessions take a turn for the unexpected - and the four experience a Christmas which they will never forget.

Instead of giving herself time to come to terms with the loss of her relationship, Natalie has a first date with Sascha that triggers exactly what she wanted to suppress: her lovesickness. She needs one night and some more or less self-destructive and bizarre encounters until she can find peace again.

The twelve-year old immigrant Veysel and his family have a hard time to become integrated into Austrian life. They have more and more inner family-oriented problems. Veysel's neighbour Cem teaches him how to pronounce a poem in German for school. At the time when Veysel wants to take the courage to recite it to his secret love Ana, the immigration police disrupts his plans

The movie revolves around three different couples who have to overcome familial and cultural obstacles to be with their ones they love. A man looking for a bride-for-hire also learns the hard way that expectations and reality do not always come together well.

Alemania, 1943. Los nazis se proponen eliminar definitivamente a todos los judíos de Berlín. Más de 70.000 ya han sido deportados. En abril de 1943 sale de la estación de Grunewald hacia Auschwitz un tren con 688 judíos. Durante seis días, los pasajeros tendrán que sufrir calor, hambre y sed. Ronnie lives in a small sleepy village and is the owner of a small company for deep-frozen goods. Daydreams, contact ads, the firemen's brassband, the weekly visits at his shrink and his buddy Lars' cynical remarks about air guitar and vinyl-records are the highlights of Ronnie's life. Already, as a kid, he suffered from being under the pressure of his power- and manhood-fixed mother. Ronnie's feelings are as deep-frozen as his goods. Until the day, a wonderful being - one of the female kind - strands in the village. The local priest hires the young girl, a groupie with the name of Zoya, as housekeeper and within days, Zoya turns the whole manship of the village mad and horny. Also Ronnie falls for Zoya and, well yes, lucky for once, marries her. However, since the presence of Zoya, strange things have happened in the village. Everybody who tries to search in Zoya's unkown past dies, disappears. Slowly that well-known fear sneaks into Ronnie's body: men's fear of women.
