Brecha is a particularly vivid and realistic portrayal of the emotional rupture between a father recently released from jail and his 12-year-old son, following a dark family tragedy that no one has strength enough to confront. The boy's grandmother tries her level best at normalizing their lives, not counting on the father's incapacity at forgetting the past, and his son's increasingly peculiar behavior. All three of them awkwardly attempt to plug the rift, only to worsen the situation with every try, leading them slowly to the brink of a new and permanent disaster.
主人公の玄野計は、地下鉄ホームで小学生時代の親友、加藤勝を見かける。加藤は線路上に落ちた酔っ払いを助けようとするが玄野と共に進入してきた電車に轢かれて死んだはずであったが、次の瞬間、彼らはマンションの一室にいた。そこには、同様に死んだはずの人々が集められていた。部屋の中央にある謎の大きな黒い球「ガンツ」。彼らは「ガンツ」に理由もわからないまま謎の星人を倒すように指示され、別の場所へと転送される。玄野は戦いを生き延びながら成長し「ガンツ」の世界に触れていく。

両親と上の兄姉が渡米中、エドマンドとルーシーのペベンシー兄妹はいとこのユースチスの家に預けられた。ある時、壁に掛けられた船の絵を見ていた3人は、突然動き出した絵の中に吸い込まれ、ナルニアの海へと放り出された。王となったカスピアンやネズミの騎士リーピチープが乗る船・朝びらき丸に救われた彼らは、懐かしい友人たちとの再会を喜ぶ間もなく、ナルニアを悪から守る7つの魔法の剣を探す冒険に加わることになる。

Charles Duchemin, a well-known gourmet and publisher of a famous restaurant guide, is waging a war against fast food entrepreneur Tri- catel to save the French art of cooking. After having agreed to appear on a talk show to show his skills in naming food and wine by taste, he is confronted with two disasters: his son wants to become a clown rather than a restaurant tester and he, the famous Charles Duchemin, has lost his taste!
Three young boys pool their money and pay V, a kindhearted prostitute, to strip for them. Afterward, she drives them home to the suburbs -- but then her car breaks down.
