アクション・スター、ジャック・スレイターの大ファンである少年が、魔法のチケットを手に映画を観ていると、突然スクリーンの中にトリップ。憧れのヒーローとともに悪党を追う大冒険が始まる。

毎年スプリング・ブレイクには、町外から45000人以上の学生がやってくるビクトリア湖。例年は、酔っ払いの学生とそれに対する地元の老人からの苦情に悩まされていた町役場だったが、今年は湖に突如として発生した外来種の人食い魚の対応に迫られることになる……。

ホラー映画女優だった母を交通事故で亡くしたマックス。３年後、友人たちと母が出演していた映画を観に行くと、映画館で火災が発生。逃げ惑ううちに、いつしか映画の中に入り込んでしまう。そこで役を演じる母に会えて喜ぶマックス。だが殺人鬼も出現し、次々とシナリオ通りに登場人物が殺されてゆく。
