シノプシス
The magical fingers of master animator Co Hoedeman, whose film The Sand Castle won an Oscar in 1979, has created yet another world of piquant creatures. Papier mâché puppets ride machines and manipulate robots strange to the human eye. A great masquerade is in the planning, and the air crackles with excitement. Plunged into the joys and frustrations of creating costumes, the zealous puppets produce a bumper crop, each one more elaborate than the last. The film illustrates the creative process, with its inevitable pitfalls and rewards. It says that to create is to be alive.

1988年、関東地区に新型爆弾が使用され、第3次世界大戦が勃発した――。2019年、ネオ東京。金田をリーダーとするバイクの一団は進入禁止の高速道を疾走していた。しかし、先頭にいた島鉄雄は突然視界に入った奇妙な小男をよけきれずに転倒、負傷する。小男と鉄雄は直ちに現れたアーミーのヘリに収容され飛び去ってしまった。翌日、鉄雄を捜す金田は、少女ケイと出会う。彼女は反政府ゲリラの一員で“アキラ”という存在を追っていた。その頃、鉄雄はアーミーのラボで強力なクスリを連続投与され、不思議な力を覚醒し始めていた…。

1966年、秋。ベトナム戦争最中の、日本の中のアメリカ——米空軍・横田基地。ファントムF4戦闘機があわただしくスクランブル発進する基地周辺を殺伐とした空気が包む中、街では不審な自殺が相次いでいた。 地下鉄・銀座線、浅草行最終列車。殺風景な車両にたたずむひとりの少女。大人をも射すくめる強い眼差しと、堅く結ばれた唇が秘めた意志を物語る──彼女の名は小夜（SAYA）。人間社会に身を潜めた吸血鬼＜翼手＞を倒すため、「組織」が送り込んだ救世主。セーラー服に身を包んだ小夜は、日本刀を武器に基地内のアメリカンスクールに潜入したが……。

約２万年前の地球。温暖化の波が押し寄せ、氷河期（アイス・エイジ）は終わろうとしていた。マニー、シド、ディエゴをはじめ谷の動物たちはこのポカポカ陽気を満喫している。しかしある日、マニーたちは仲間から“このままだと５日後には大洪水が起こる”という不吉な情報を得る。そして実際に、水をせき止めて谷を守っていた氷壁が割れ始め、谷の動物たちは急いで水の少ない谷の反対側へと大移動を開始。だが、彼らはその道中でさまざまな障害に遭遇してしまう。
ニューヨークのセントラルパーク動物園。ライオンのアレックス、シマウマのマーティ、キリンのメルマン、カバのグロリアは大の仲良し。彼らは安全で快適な動物園の贅沢な暮らしをすっかり満喫していた。しかしある日、外の世界に憧れたマーティがテロリストのペンギンたちと一緒に動物園を脱走、マーティを連れ戻そうと後を追ったアレックスたちともども捕らえられ、ひょんなことから四頭はケニア行きの船に乗せられてしまう。さらに思わぬハプニングで海に投げ出された彼らは、やがてマダガスカル島に漂着。そこで現地の動物たちに迎えられ、生まれて初めて野生の生活に触れた四頭は、次第にそれぞれ本来の習性に目覚めていくのだった。
