A Catholic Easter ritual has been banned for 20 years in a Spanish village due to an incident. Now, the Archbishop has lift the ban on one condition: there will be no stoning during the enactment of "The Gold Nail".

Robert Beltran (Jaime Pujol), psychiatrist and expert on strict recipe for happiness, he is forced to leave his dull life to try to get his wife, which will break their beliefs and prejudices and become a vulnerable and much normal. His wife, Rita (Marta Calvo), left him for another man, an unrepentant seducer, compulsive liar, jealous sick patient and also of Robert, called Antonio (Antonio Garrido). Meanwhile, it has been in charge of his daughter, Pat, a spoiled teenager.

Antonio is the principal of a high school in a downtown immigrant neighborhood. His aim is to avoid the school's closing and the scattering of the students. Along with Antonio's ever-increasing help, Judith the new music teacher, takes on the difficult task of obtaining her student's interest in her subject while helping them become active participants in a common project.

Claudia lives happily married with an architect and is part of a rich family of builders. In a children's party going on an apparently unrelated to it: a clown found hanged.
