映画ファン待望の2大スター対決が実現し、シリーズ最大のヒットを記録した第20作。蓮華沢の里を3年ぶりに訪れた盲目の渡世人、座頭市。だが村の平和は、小仏の政五郎と生糸問屋の烏帽子屋弥助という2大勢力の対立によってすっかり脅かされていた。市が里に戻ってきたと知った政五郎は、早速、凄腕の用心棒・佐々大作に市の暗殺を命じ、大作もまた100両の金に釣られてその仕事を請け負う。かくして両者はひとたびあいまみえるが、お互いの実力を見てとった2人は、再度の勝負を約束して一旦は別れるが...。

Takeshi Nanjo, a junior lieutenant in the navy whose father, the head of the Nanjo-gumi yakuza family, was killed, is forced to leave the army and become the head of the Nanjo-gumi in the second generation. He brutally chivalrously avenges the death of his father by a vicious yakuza linked to extremists within the army through the courage and swordsmanship of naval training!

In feudal Japan, gangsters chase a young girl who might testify against their boss. When the gangsters murder the girl's grandfather on sacred ground, the door is opened for the Yokai Monsters to step in.

Zatoichi is forced to kill a young man who owes a debt to a yakuza boss. Moments later, his sister Osode arrives with the money she earned (prostituting herself) to pay his debts. The bosses true motives are revealed and he attempts to steal Osode even though the debt is paid. Zatoichi realizes his grievous error and protects the girl from the gang. Osode and Zatoichi are caught in a dilemma as she must rely on her brother's killer for protection and Zatoichi wrestles with the injustice he has caused.

『妖怪百物語』に次ぐ「妖怪」三部作の第二弾。1751年、伊豆半島に4000年の眠りからさめた西洋妖怪・ダイモンが現れた。生き血を求めて人々におそいかかるダイモン。その正体を見抜いた河童や油すましたちは日本妖怪軍団を組織、圧倒的な力を持つダイモンに健気に挑んでいく。

One of the nuns at Senjuan is Sister Shunko (Michiyo Yasuda). Unlike the usual nun, however, she often goes out to see the world, being of the opinion that nuns should not lead cloistered lives but should see something of modern life. She makes the acquaintance of a young girl named lkuko (Kayo Mikimoto) and saves her from the advances of a gangster named Goro (lchiro Nakatani). In the meantime she turns down several propositions and, in revenge, one of her admirers denounces her to the Mother Superior (Kuniko Miyake). This lady is of liberal views, however, and refuses to do anything about it. Then Shunko is visited by Goro's gang boss who wants lkuko back and says he will blackmail Shunko unless she agrees.

大映「妖怪」シリーズの第一弾。一つの怪談を語るたびにロウソクを消していく"百物語"から物語は始まる。悪徳商人・但馬屋が、長屋と氏神の社殿を取り壊して女郎宿を作る計画を立てた。長屋の住人は反対するが、悪代官と結託した但馬屋は強引に計画を進める。

大魔神シリーズ第三弾。非道な領主のもとで強制労働をから逃げ出した村人たちを救うため、四人の子供たちが禁足地の山中へ向かう。領主側は追っ手を放ち、子供の一人が命を落としてしまう。そしてついに、山の武神像が動き出す。 　吹雪の特撮が印象的で、大魔神がその宝剣を初めて抜いたことでも話題になった。今回は子供の涙によって魔神が動くというのが新味だが、虐げられた良民の祈りが魔神に通じ怒りが爆発という基本パターンから脱却しきれず、新しいインパクトを与えるには及ばなかった。本作でシリーズは終了し、大映の特撮時代劇は妖怪シリーズへと移る。『マグマ大使』のガム役で知られる二宮秀樹が鶴吉を好演。

“大魔神”シリーズ第２弾。戦国時代、名越一族と千草一族は、八雲の湖をはさんで暮らしていた。そして湖の中央にある神の島に祭られる武神像により、平和を守られていた。そんな中、千草家の跡取り息子十郎と名越家の娘早百合は結婚することとなっており、両家の長期にわたる幸福な関係は約束されているかにみえた。ところが彼らは思わぬ侵略にさらされることになる。隣国の領主御子柴弾正は、まず千草一族、続いて名越一族を倒し､その領地を手に入れる。さらに両家を守り続けてきた武神像を破壊し、湖に捨ててしまう｡そして邪魔になった十郎と早百合を処刑しようとする。絶体絶命と思ったその時、湖がまっぷたつに割れ、巨大な魔神が現れる……｡神ノ島関係のシーンは、京都撮影所内に大規模なセットを組んで撮影。湖面を二つに割って登場する大魔神が圧巻。

戦国の世、丹波の国で謀反が起こった。前主を弑して新しく領主の座にのぼった左馬之助は、過酷な労役を領民に課し、さらには村の守り神たる魔神像をも破壊しようとした。だが、額にくいを打ち込んだ途端、突如として山崩れが起こり、作業にあたっていた人足たちは土砂に呑み込まれてしまう。左馬之助は魔神像の破壊をあきらめたが、前主の係累に対する追及はやめなかった。ついに遺子・忠文を捕らえた彼は、忠臣とともに磔刑に処することを決定する。忠文の妹・小笹は、唯一の心の拠り所、魔神像に助けを求めるのだったが……。映像化を考慮しないで作られたかのような演出に、特撮が見事に応えた傑作作品。４．５メートルという難しいスケールに設定された魔神像は、巧みな特殊撮影によって動き回り、素晴らしいリアリティを醸し出している。

Blind swordsman/masseuse Zatoichi befriends a young woman returning home with her baby. When gangsters mistake her for Zatoichi and kill her, Zatoichi determines to escort the baby to its father. He gains the reluctant help of a young pick pocket and together they travel to find the baby's father. But they do not reckon on the father's reaction to their arrival, nor on their own growing feelings for the child.

A gripping historical drama full of suspense and a mysterious bewitching mood. A puzzle of a turbulent era in which various characters fall into a maelstrom of events - a pretty girl, a strange beggar woman, a charming thief, a clever detective, the famous magistrate Toyama Saemon no jo, they all struggle to unravel this mystery of the white bell, which provoked the sudden disappearance of two beautiful women caught in one place at the same time at midnight.
