日本でもっとも有名な吹奏楽団の一つ“東京ウィンドオーケストラ”と間違われているとも知らず屋久島までやって来たのは、一字違いのアマチュア楽団“東京ウインドオーケストラ”の面々。観光気分の彼らを港で出迎えたのは、彼らを呼び寄せた張本人の役場職員、樋口。やけに人数が少ないといぶかりながらも、いまだ自分のミスには気づいていなかった。そんな中、一介の素人楽団に対してあまりにも不釣り合いな大歓迎ぶりに、ついに真相を悟った東京ウインドオーケストラ一行。いまさら間違いだとも言い出せず、恐ろしさのあまり島から逃げ出すことにするのだったが…。
