A narrative by Puneeth Rajkumar aka Appu which explores state of Karnataka - the land, its culture and traditions, it's social issues and even it's forests, all through his curious eyes. The film is almost Appu's own journey of discovery as he understands the rich flora and fauna of the state.

Shabdavedi is about Sandeep Rajkumar, a strict police officer crusading against narcotics. The man is so straight that when his wife Jaya Prada refuses to reveal the identity of a key link in the drug ring that he is investigating. He beats her in lockup. Eventually he overcomes all the usual attempts to throw him off the chase like tarnishing his reputation and implicating him in lock-up death cases and tracks the ring down to its last man.

Two brothers live in harmony until the younger brother's wife creates misunderstandings between the brothers.

Shravana Banthu is a 1984 Indian Kannada-language romantic drama film, written and directed by Singeetham Srinivasa Rao. The film stars Rajkumar, Urvashi and Srinath. The film, produced by P. A. Kameshwara Rao, deals with reincarnation as the subject where the lead roles get killed for their romance and then they are shown to be reborn again and fall in love yet again in the backdrop of inter-faith marriage. The dialogues and lyrics were written by Chi. Udaya Shankar. The film was received exceptionally well at the box office and was one of the biggest hits of 1984. This was the first Kannada movie to show a computer on-screen. The director remade the movie in the same year in Telugu as Vasantha Geetam.

The Plot summarizes the helplessness of a human being with relation to circumstances that surround him. This particular plot revolves around a boy who first runs away from his house only to end up in a child labor camp and then in prison. Later when he reunites with his sister he is unable to let her know that he is actually her long lost brother.

The film was remade in Tamil as Puthukavithai starring Rajinikanth and in Hindi by director Vijay as Pyar Kiya Hai Pyar Karenge. The film garnered highly positive reviews upon release and was an All Time Blockbuster at the box office with a theatrical run of 175 days. The film was dubbed in Malayalam in 1981 as Njaan Ninne Marakkilla. In the run-up to the relaunch of Jawa motorbikes in 2018, the marketing team of Mahindra & Mahindra used the climax sequence of this movie as a part of their promotion strategy. The movie is based on the novel Naanu Neenu Jodi by A. R. Anand.

Bahaddur Gandu is a 1976 Indian Kannada film, directed by A V Sheshgiri Rao and produced by Srikanth Nahatha and Srikanth Patel. The film Stars Dr Rajkumar, Jayanthi, Aarathi and Shantha in lead roles. The music of the film was composed by M Ranga Rao.

The movie was Parvathamma's first production venture under Poornima Enterprises banner. It was also her maiden distribution venture.

Mayura challenges an arrogant wrestler and defeats him. Though never formally trained he has only learned techniques of wrestling by observing others. As a Brahmin he is required to study Vedas yet he is deeply interested in martial arts. Ranga Jetti, the premier wrestler in Kanchi, takes him under his wing and trains him. One day while observing the training of Pallava princes Mayura gets into a fight with and thrashes Vishnugopa, the Pallava prince, earning his enmity. Mayura has to flee Kanchi as per the advice of Ranga Jetti to escape from pursuing Pallavas. He also then learns that he is in fact the son of Raja Chandravarma, the Kadamba king who was deceitfully killed by the Pallava king, Sivaskandhavarma. Upon learning of his illustrious lineage, Mayura dedicates himself to overthrow the Pallava yoke. Returning to Banavasi in the guise of a merchant Mayura builds an army and conquers both Banavasi and the Telugu speaking regions around Srishaila, thus building a vast kingdom.

Bhakta Kumbara is a 1974 Indian Kannada biographical film, directed by Hunsur Krishnamurthy and produced by N R Anuradha Devi. The film stars Rajkumar, Leelavati and Balkrishna in lead roles. The film had a musical score by G.K. Venkatesh. Actress Sridevi essayed the role of Muktha Bai (as a child artist), thereby the latter making her Kannada film debut. The movie is based on the life of Gora Kumbhar, a potter turned into a saint who lived in the 13th and 14th centuries in Teredoki village. He supposedly lost his child while curing the clay by his legs for making pots, because he did not notice his child fumbling under his feet as he immersed himself in chanting the name of God. He was called Saint Gora Kumbara by the people of Maharashtra.

The movie is based on the novel of the same name by Vani. The movie saw a theatrical run of 30 weeks. The movie completed 100 days when it was re-released in 1982. The film's success led to its second re-release on 6 February 2015 across Karnataka state. The movie was remade in Telugu in 1975 as Pooja with three songs from this movie retained in the Telugu version. The film is considered as one of the greatest romantic films in Kannada noted for the strong performances of lead actors Rajkumar and Kalpana.

The role of Ravi Varma, the protagonist played by Rajkumar is a character who upholds the values of life even it means his destruction; a person who is keen on retaining his character's purity and those morals he has cherished. Ravi Varma led a lonely yet righteous life. He did not break his principles even as it lead to his downfall.

Sri Krishnadevaraya is a 1970 Indian historical drama film in Kannada language, produced and directed by B. R. Panthulu. It stars Rajkumar as Krishnadevaraya, an emperor of the Vijayanagara Empire in the 16th century. R. Nagendra Rao, B. R. Panthulu, Narasimharaju and N. Bharathi appear in pivotal roles.

Immadi Pulikeshi is based on the story of the famous Kannada ruler Pulakeshin II of the Chalukya dynasty, who was significantly involved in branching out the dynasty to extend over most parts of the Deccan.

Balakrishna, Udaykumar and R. Nagendra Rao. The film has musical score by Ghantasala. S. Siddalingaiah was the assistant director of this movie. B. Vittalacharya shot the movie simultaneously in Telugu as Bandipotu, with N. T. Rama Rao.

The film won many laurels upon release including the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Kannada for its Gandhian theme of dealing with the poverty in rural Indian villages.[2]

The subplot of the film regarding the salvaging of the sub-standard grain was inspired by the 1886 novel The Mayor of Casterbridge by Thomas Hardy. The movie was remade in Telugu in 1974 as Chairman Chalamayya starring Chalam.

Lingappa. The film won State Film Awards in Sound recording and cinematography categories. This was the fourth Kannada film on Prahlada after the 1942 film Bhakta Prahlada, the 1958 film Bhakta Prahlada and the 1960 film Dashavathara. Of the four films, this was the only one which was not shot in black and white. This movie was dubbed in Telugu as Narasimhaavataaram.
