ココ・シャネルやクリスチャン・ディオールと並び称されるフランスのファッションデザイナー、イヴ・サンローランの伝記ドラマ。若くしてファッション界の寵児（ちょうじ）として活躍する裏で、孤独と重圧に押しつぶされそうになっていた彼の素顔に迫っていく。 1953年、パリ。亡きクリスチャン・ディオールの後継者として関心を向けられるファッションデザイナー、イヴ・サンローラン（ピエール・ニネ）。デビューを兼ねた初コレクションを成功させた彼は、21歳にしてファッション業界の天才としてあがめられる。そんなイヴとディナーで出会ったピエール・ベルジェ（ギョーム・ガリエンヌ）は、その才能に惹（ひ）かれると同時に恋をする。ベルジュは仕事でもプライベートでもパートナーとしてイヴを支え、彼の名を冠したブランドを一緒に立ち上げてファッションの革命をもたらしていく。

With only 12 percent of its pupils obtaining their baccalaureate, Jules Ferry High School is the worst school in France. The film tells the story of a gentleman of a certain age, a distinguished homeless, who becomes the mentor of a young girl of 20. He will keep out of trouble, especially when she’s about to marry a fool. He will try to change her life by making it more beautiful in the manner of a guardian angel.
