In the summer of 1993, a group of Bosnian refugees flee to Sweden due to the war in Bosnia. The Swedish Red Cross places refugees in a pavilion for migrants. Among them is the middle-aged married couple, Dervish and Adem. Dervish meets the Swede Ingrid in the pavilion and despite the language barrier, the two become good friends.
