광고회사 여직원인 데비(데미 무어 분)는 어느날 자기 회사 직원들의 야구 경기에 응원을 갔다가 우연히 상대팀 선수인 대니(로브 로우 분)를 알게 된다. 서로 첫눈에 반한 두사람은 사랑을 하게 된다. 여자에게 얽매이지 말고 인생을 즐기라는 친구 버니의 말을 무시하고 데비와 같이 지내고 싶어하는 대니. 데비 역시 함께 살던 여자친구가 남자를 경멸하고 결벽증세까지 보이며 둘 사이를 은근히 방해하려 하지만 결국 둘은 같이 지내기로 결정한다. 그러나 혼자서 자유롭게 지내던 대니는 이사날부터 갑작스러운 생활의 변화에 적응을 못하고 심한 스트레스를 느낀다. 함께 살면서 따르는 여러가지 어려운 일들이 차츰 둘 사이를 갈라놓게 되고, 대니는 친구 버니의 충동에 갈팡질팡하며 데비에게 헤어지자고 한다. 화가 난 데비는 다시 친구집으로 돌아가고, 대니는 예전처럼 친구와 술집을 배회하며 자유로운 생활을 하게 되지만 그럴수록 마음은 점점 더 공허해지고 방황하게 되는데...

Model Ball is the serialized story of Jake McBride, "The best softball player in his league," who bets his best friend he can win the league with a team of models. Together, Jake and his model cousin Holly recruit an athletic group of pampered princesses and attempt to turn them into a well-oiled softball playing machine.

The Hollywood Post's sports writer, Jimmy Jones (Charles Quigley), yearns to be a crime reporter, and thus looks for foul play on even the most routine assignments. In writing a piece about a girl's softball team, Jimmy discovers that their sponsor, Foy Harris (John Gallaudet), is a notorious racketeer who has supposedly gone straight. Jimmy suspects Foy is still up to no good. He begins hanging around the team to do a bit of snooping, and also to be near the cute new pitcher, Ann Casey (Jacqueline Wells).

When Allie (Danielle Evon Ploeger) returns home during her final college summer break, she doesn't anticipate staying long, but that all changes when there's a death in the family and Allie inherits her childhood home. Her life-long BFF, Kenzie (Kelsey Thomas) helps her deal with her loss, and other family drama, by forcing her to join The Browncoats, the team she captains in the small town's co-ed softball league. Kenzie's advice for Allie is simple... When life sucks, just grab your glove, and grab a ball. Everything just sort of fades away when you're playing catch.

"All-Stars" is a hilarious commentary on the state of all youth sports today, fueled by the outrageous behavior of the desperate sports parent living vicariously through his or her child. In the vein of "Best in Show", where it's more about the dog owners than the dogs - "All-Stars" is about the adults involved in youth sports (parents, coaches, umpires, volunteers, board members, etc.) more than the kids. The end result is a funny, yet compelling spin on fast pitch softball as well as a unique state of affairs on the outlandish antics of a few crazed parents.

The girlfriends of softball players decide to form their own team as a way of avenging their neglect.
