원숭이 아부와 함께 살아가는 아그라바의 좀도둑 알라딘은 어느 날 궁궐을 탈출한 술탄의 딸 자스민에게 한눈에 반한다. 술탄의 자리를 노리는 사악한 마법사 자파는 알라딘을 눈여겨보고 그에게 마법의 램프를 가져다주면 부자로 만들어 주겠다고 말한다. 동굴에 들어가서 램프를 찾던 알라딘은 도중에 동굴이 무너지는 바람에 갇히게 된다. 위기에 빠진 알라딘은 램프의 요정 지니와 마법 양탄자의 도움으로 동굴에서 탈출한다. 지니의 주인이 된 알라딘은 지니를 램프에서 구해주겠다고 약속하고, 지니의 힘을 빌어 왕자로 변신해 자스민에게 청혼하기 위해 아그라바로 돌아오는데...

알라딘은 전광석화 같은 손놀림과 타고난 삼십육계 줄행랑을 고루 갖춘 아그라바 왕국의 좀도둑이다. 원숭이 친구 아부를 대동한 채 굶주림에 고통받는 아이들을 못 본 척하지 않는 게 그의 인간적인 매력. 어느 날 아그라바 왕국을 다스리는 술탄이 애지중지하는 딸 자스민 공주가 백성들을 살피기 위해 성 밖으로 나왔다가 빵을 훔쳤다는 누명을 쓰게 된다. 마침 그 광경을 목격한 알라딘은 자스민 공주를 위기에서 구해준다. 자스민 공주가 왕궁에서 일하는 시녀인 줄 알고 그녀를 보러 성 안에 들어간 알라딘은 재상 자파에게 붙잡히고 마는데...

신바드(커윈 매튜 분)는 그의 약혼녀인 퍼리사 공주(캐스린 그랜트 분)가 소인이 되어 버리자 그게 나쁜 마법사 소쿠라(토린 샛처 분)의 짓인지도 모른 채 그 마법을 풀 수 있는 약을 찾기 위해 소쿠라와 함께 그의 7번째 항해를 떠난다. 소쿠라 마법사의 말에 따르면 콜로사섬에 있는 대괴조(로크 새)의 알로 만든 약으로 공주를 정상으로 되돌릴 수 있다는 것이다. 하지만 사실 소쿠라는 콜로사 섬에서 발견했던 보물을 찾기 위한 속셈으로 섬으로 돌아가려는 것이었고 나머지 사람들은 그런 그의 계획에 이용당한다. 섬에 도착한 신바드 일행. 그들을 반기는 것은 온갖어려움들이다. 먼저 그들이 상대해야 하는 상대는 사이클롭스(키클롭스, 외눈박이 괴물). 사이클롭스는 소쿠라가 탐내는 보석을 갖고 있다. 신바드는 사이클롭스의 보석 창고에서 요술 램프를 갖고 나오고 신바드는 그제서야 소쿠라의 정체를 의심하기 시작한다. 하지만 소쿠라와의 마찰에도 불구하고 공주가 걸린 마법 때문에 소쿠라와 헤어지지 못하는 신바드는 램프를 갖고 계속 소쿠라와 대치 상태에 이르고 결국 꼬마 지니(리처드 아이어 분)의 도움을 받아 대괴조, 용, 해골과의 결투도 무사히 이기고 소쿠라도 굴복시키는데...

바그다드 왕국의 왕자 아메드는 자파라는 사악한 대신에게 왕좌를 빼앗기고 지하 감옥에 갇힌다. 장터에서 음식을 훔치다 붙잡힌 아부 역시 같은 지하 감옥에 갇히면서 둘은 서로 만나게 된다. 죽음을 눈앞에 둔 이 둘은 감옥을 탈출해 바스라 왕국에 이른다. 이 왕국의 공주와 사랑에 빠지게 된 아메드. 한편 자파는 바스라 왕국의 공주와 결혼하려 하고 장난감 수집광인 왕에게 날아다니는 말을 선물함으로써 그의 환심을 산다. 하지만 이미 아메드와 사랑에 빠진 공주의 마음을 사기란 쉽지 않은 일. 난관에 처한 자파는 마법을 걸어 아메드를 눈 먼 장님으로 만들고 아부를 개로 변하게 하는데..

This film finds Angélique in a North African Muslim kingdom where she is now part of the Sultan's harem. The first part of the film consist of her angrily refusing to be bedded as well as their trying to literally beat some sense into her. It all seems to go on too long and I was surprised that the Sultan simply didn't have her killed. Late in the film, she finally decides to escape with the help of two Christian prisoners.

The Sultan of Zanzibar has a harbor infested with sharks, which makes it impossible for ships to trade with him. In an attempt to fix the problem, he brings twelve hippos into the harbor to keep the sharks away. His idea works well enough, but once the hippos are no longer a novelty and the people no longer feed them, they begin to starve. After the hungry hippos rampage through the city looking for food, Aban-Khan, the king's adviser, slaughters all the hippos except one, a little hippo named Hugo.

The film is based on the life of Razia Sultan (1205–1240), the only female Sultan of Delhi (1236–1240) and her speculated love affair with the Abyssinian slave, Jamal-ud-Din Yakut. Razia Sultan is 1983 Urdu film, written and directed by Kamal Amrohi, and starring Hema Malini, Parveen Babi and Dharmendra in lead roles. The film's music was provided by Khayyam, with lyrics by Jan Nisar Akhtar and two songs by Nida Fazli who walked into the project when Akhtar died. Some songs were sung by Lata Mangeshkar, including classics like, "Aye Dil-e Nadaan".

On the run after being found sweet-talking the Sultan's daughter, Aladdin comes upon a lamp which, when rubbed, summons up Babs the genie. He uses it to return as a visiting prince asking for the princess's hand. Unfortunately for him, the sultan's wicked twin brother has secretly usurped the throne, someone else is after the lamp for his own ends, and Babs has taken a shine to Aladdin herself and is bent on wrecking his endeavours.

The story of Aladin is one of the most beautiful and well known fairy tales from "the Arabian nights". Aladin is the son of a poor tailor. But with the help of Dschinni, a friendly ghost, he achieves luck and wealth. And since this is a fairy tale, he marries the sultan’s beautiful daughter in the end.

Vittorio De Sica is a teacher struggling to take care of his family and always dreaming that Parliament will increase the salaries for teachers and life will become easier for his wife, Maria Mereander, and kids. An Indian prince (Sabu) visits Italy, is assisted by the teacher and gives De Sica a baby elephant as a reward. This upsets the landlord, Nando Bruno, the other tenants, and the neighborhood. He takes the elephant away but, like Lassie, it comes home.
