The self-management experience of the workers of the Numax factory in Barcelona (Spain), at the end of the seventies, was included in a documentary that they themselves decided to entrust to the filmmaker Joaquim Jordà at the moment when the factory were about to close. It was titled "Numax presents..." (1980). Those images, recovered, together with the situation in which those same workers are so many years later, lead us to reflect on the last and intense decades that have been lived in Spain, to discover the fragility of youth ideals and offer a history of the political transition from dictatorship to democracy.

José Maria is a seventeen year old boy; his father is a successful restaurant owner in a town some distance from Barcelona, in Spain. The boy is intelligent and sensitive, but his mannerisms and habits, and lack of masculine drive, lead him to get bullied at school. The school principal decides that José is the disruptive influence, and asks for him to be removed from the school. The father berates the boy, and his mother, for his failure to be a red-blooded young man, and sends him away for a while to live with a friend in the country. Father visits the boy, and takes him to a strip club in Barcelona, run by a lady friend of his, intending that this will "cure" him of his sexual reserve. However one of the acts is a pre-operative transsexual, and there is a full frontal exposure at the end. Father has arranged that after the show...

A group of rich businessmen and military officers who are partying in an old castle are spared when a nuclear war ravages the earth. A drug has been discovered, Liberxina 90, which will erase "establishment" conditioning from the human mind. Barcelona 1967. The pop culture revolution. Jordi (Patrick Bauchau) is a rich playboy who runs around with a bunch of high-end hippies, smoking, drinking, dancing and daydreaming about Tuset Street, an effort to develop a popular street in the newer section of Barcelona after the models of Haight Ashbury Street in San Francisco and Carnaby Street in London. Jordi and his gang represent the new Barcelona, wealthy, artificial and striving for imported sophistication. On the older side of the city is El Paralelo, the theater district. At El Molino, one of its many music halls, performs Violeta (Sara Montiel), a showgirl in the old style tradition who supplements her singing income with prostitution. Somehow Violeta represents the old values, the "real world" living along side an artificial creation such as Tuset.

A successful actress with three children takes an artist lover to fill a void in her life. This avant garde feature illustrates the alienation of an individual who is lonely despite the wealth and fame her career has brought to her. Jose Maria Nunes wrote the screenplay which relies heavily on verbiage and philosophical symbolism.

Filmed on the Day of the Dead at Madrid's Almudena cemetery. Leaving the grounds, the police intercepted the producers. Part of their recordings was purposely blurred so as to not be used against those filmed on the grounds. The censorship defined this short film as "a nauseating movie."
