A few months before the ’92 Barcelona Olympic Games, it looks like the Spanish water polo team will hardly make a splash during their home field Olympics. The national team is a battleground under attack on two fronts: the harsh techniques of their new coach, which threaten to incapacitate more than one player, and the infighting between leaders Manel Estiarte and Pedro Aguado. Can the team stay united and overcome their personal differences? Will reaching sporting glory be possible in the face of such adversity?
David just moved into his new apartment when he receives an unexpected visit from two neighbours. What at first seems like a mere courtesy call soon reveals itself to be something more sinister.
Donald is a Nigerian immigrant who after being expelled from Spain three years ago, has returned to meet again with Teresa, with whom he had a secret love affair. But on arrival he finds that she has married and is mother of a child. However, the return of Donald wakes strong contradictions in her. By chance, Donald starts working in the garage of Carmen, where Antonio also works, who ignores what happened between his wife and his new partner. Francisco, a foreman of the town and Carmen's suitor, cannot stand the situation. The tension between these frustrated passions ends up playing a key role in the outcome of a seemingly impossible love.
"Escuela de seducción" is an acceptable comedy which deals, for the umpteenth time, with the war of the sexes using misunderstandings and fake personalities as dramatic resources. The premise is by no means original, but this is something most films lack nowadays, and therefore the result could have been more than acceptable.
In the early 70s, a rather backwards young soldier with serious family problems finds himself stationed in a small village in Spain's Levante. Secretly in love with a young village girl, Pere slips into her room one night. When he is discovered, the soldier reacts with spontaneous violence, creating an embarrassing problem for the military that the brass decide to handle--expeditiously-- as "an internal affair."
