The Moaning
An experimental film on the geographic and historical voyage of the peculiar sound of the so-called 'Basque ox carts'. Said sound, which could be heard until the decade of the 60s in part of the Bay of Biscay, has now practically disappeared from the Iberian peninsula. The film travels from the silence of the sound in our territory today, until its reappearance, following years of research, in the central area of Brazil.
Glass Cornea
A journey of light and movement through the gaze of the eye that manipulates them.
Market Street
All images were filmed on Market Street, one of the main streets in San Francisco. The visual was carefully composed frame by frame, while shooting on the street. This project was commissioned by Exploratorium and San Francisco Arts Commission for the outdoor screening event, A Trip Down Market Street 1905/2005: An Outdoor Centennial Celebration.
As Guardiãs de Memórias
A cada momento - mais uma memória. Mas às vezes a memória fica cega e o que resta fica nebuloso.
Time in a Grain of Sand
An expression of time and memories.
In Loving Memory (of Who We Used to Be)
Puberty, sibling rivalry, and school crushes make up the small world that 10-year-old Vicky lives in. But the memories of birthday cakes and carefree days begin to get muddled when persistent anxieties set in to haunt the past. The clutter, clash, and recollection of her mistakes, insecurities, and triumphs reconstruct the ever-changing phases of Vicky's tween life. A stranger to her own self, director Vicky Lee reflects on the naive girl that she once was.
Os Dentes do Macaco
A slow and ugly fairy tale based on the drawings of inmates at a psychiatric clinic where LaLoux worked.
Expansion
Expansion remixes the images of Matsumoto’s Esctasis into an more colourful psychedelic short.
Rite of Passage
A man enters a passage and must choose to embrace either the persistence of time or the will of nature. Through improvised movement and choreography, this short film is a playful meditation on the body, space, and the present moment. The film was shot as part of Cinemovement Laboratory VI: Solo in Studio Plesungan, an art space run by Indonesian artist Melati Suryodarmo in the northern part of Solo, Indonesia.
White Hole
Avant garde/experimental film. A mesmerizing trip through the psychedelic vastness of space.
let me come in
Bill Morrison’s experimental short features decayed film reels from the lost, German silent film Pawns of Passion (1928).
Engram
Engram is a three-part piece revolving around a few good old ideas such as photos inside of photos, movies inside of movies, photos inside of movies, movies inside of photos, and (even) a film director inside a TV set.
Delimitation
A dancer moving through a city seeking a space in which to exist.
Not Even Nothing Can Be Free of Ghosts
Rainer Kohlberger’s abstract film was created entirely without a camera. Through digital algorithms, he precisely arranged a rhythm of light and shadow that pulsates off the screen into our physical space with blinding intensity. The presence of light is almost felt as we are sucked into the image to become its ghostly accomplice. As we leave the theatre, the optical vibrations continue to haunt us.
1986 Summer
A previously unseen short by the Japanese avant-garde titan, Toshio Matsumoto's 1986 Summer locates faces and bodies within superimpositions, zooms, a lightning-fast montage of brick structures and verdant trees.
Your Inbox Is Full
The 3rd installment in James A. Burkhalter's QUEER ROOTS trilogy: After years of his mother begging him to do it, James decides to finally review and erase 10 years' worth of phone messages. It tells the story of James' "roaring twenties," constructed solely through the voices of friends, family, and lovers.

An abstract animated short by Michael Theodore.
Brouillard #14
