The bus driver who has been working on the same line for years has retired. Therefore, the people of the district will meet with Lütfü, a new driver. Lütfü who tries to get used to the district is in a contention with Sadenaz, who grows on the end of the bus every morning. Although the bus's departure time has already passed, this sympathetic girl runs on the bus like a storm, before Lütfü's annoyance. However, in the course of time, a friendship between Sadenaz and Lütfü is formed. Lütfü does not move every morning before Sadenaz arrives. One day, grace runs the timepiece to measure the speed of the Sadenaz. The speed of the Sadenaz corresponds to a speed that national athletes can run. Yusuf Miroğlu and Zeynep travel to Diyarbakır in southeast Turkey to attend his best friend Cemal's wedding. While performing the traditional halay dance at the wedding, Cemal is killed by an assassin. Cemal's widowed wife Leyla pleads Yusuf to find the people behind the murder and bring them to justice. Yusuf finds himself caught in a struggle against the PKK and other terrorist groups in the area.

The film is based on 'Fikrimin Ince Gulu', a novel by Adalet Agaoglu, which depicts a first generation gurbetci/guest-worker returning home. It covers his land journey in short bursts from Germany to the Turkey's west border - and extensively from thereon to his village close to Ankara - capital of Turkey. He begins his journey purchasing a second hand yellow Mercedes - possibly his first car - using his meager savings working as a laborer. Offering deep insight into the mind of a manual laborer Bayram (Ilyas Salman) making his first trip back home, resorting to flashbacks in highlighting Bayram's motivation and experiences from his childhood right up to the events leading to his first departure from Turkey to Germany.
In this biographical drama, the Turkish writer Rifat Ilgaz (Tarik Akan) is forced to go into internal exile after World War Two, because the government suspects him of being a communist. Most of the movie follows him while he is on the lam, and during his reunion with his wife, who grows testy from the restrictions that hiding him impose on her. Eventually he turns himself in, and while in prison, suffers some torture. All the same, he endures with the flame of his spirit undiminished.
A man, while trying to meet a woman from his dreams, finds a restaurant and begins to have a journey both between dreams and reality, others and himself.
