After his father's death, Rıfkı (Kemal Sunal) returns from Germany to his village to sell their goods. He is declared a Saint after several incidents. Rıfkı, prays for rain for half an hour and sends down rain. He prays and old single women get married, heals crippled people. Meanwhile, some mercenaries tell him to enter village elections for the Mayor. Another candidate offers bribe to Rıfkı for not entering elections. Rıfkı wins the elections, but in the end people realize his tricks.
People mistake a naive extra for his lookalike gangster and cause funny events.
Two master thieves try to outdo each other to be the sole owner of the loot.

Murat is a successful journalist. One day a girl named Aysel is kidnapped and raped by three men. Murat is misinformed about the case, so he distorts the whole story which deeply saddens Aysel's family. Murat decides to look into this case again and finds out that the three men are sons of well-off families and writes about them in his articles. Murat's bosses ask him to resign, but Murat doesn't give up. In the end, the culprits are delivered to the justice. However, one day Murat is found dead.
