Csendkút is a historical film drama made for the fiftieth anniversary of the 1956 revolution and freedom struggle and dedicated to the poet Attila Gérecz, the 1956 revolution and freedom struggle commemorating his martyrdom.

1780 in the Austro-Hungarian monarchy the organization called Illuminati started to rise, which is not a good thing for the monarchy. Sándor Buda's brother was part of the organization and got killed by The Baron. Sándor wanted to revenge his brother but his swordsman ship was not good enough to defeat him, but he managed to cut out one of his eyes. Sándor must hide from The Baron's men and he joins the Scaramouche troupe where he met Lilla who know a legendary swordman, D'Artagnan who can teach Sándor, so he could have a chance to defeat The Baron.

Ten years old Cemil runs away from his stepfather who tortures him and his mother and ends up in Istanbul. Veli Firat Tanis, the leader of a gang which Cemil takes refuge in Haydarpasa, tries to send him back to his home by putting his pocket money. While the gang gather money for Cemil, they, at the same time, suffer from harsh living conditions. In the mean time Cemil's mother Münevver comes to Istanbul in the hope of finding her son.
