It's life, the life of a gay actor presenting weight loss products who lose his job because he get fat and who starts dating a ... woman.

Daniel, Ana, and their little boy, Manuel travel from Madrid to a resort on the Costa Brava for the summer. Ana runs into Marta, a local shopgirl whom she's met on previous visits. Marta introduces Ana to her cousin, Robert, who runs an antique shop. Robert is immediately attracted to Ana. He has contacted Faby, an undocumented Peruvian waitress who works in the slum where Enrique has felt ill. Fascinated by the girl, Ramón decides to solve her problems, marrying her to Enrique.

A beautiful young woman is abducted from her place of work and held as a sex slave. Two years later, frightened and confused, she manages to escape and begins to use meditation to recapture her sensory memories of captivity. Finally, she achieves a mental picture of her abductor and, realising that he is close at hand, decides to confront him even if it means putting her life in danger.

Santiago, Marta and Carlos meet once a month to eat together, always in the same restaurant. They have known each other since university, more than 15 years ago. Then they shared many dreams and illusions, but over the years each has followed his own path. In one of those meals, Carlos borrows four million pesetas from Santiago and another four from Marta because his computer company has problems with a project they are developing. Months go by and Carlos can't get their money back. Santiago and Marta assure him that it does not matter, but in reality their lives have changed since that meal.

Intrigued, she decides to explore Mario's past and, through their dialogues, their relationship takes an unexpected turn.

A group of friends, all about in their thirties, gather at Julio's home, one of them, to help him paint the walls. During the hours they are together, their problems, their envy, their failures, their quarrels come to light. Around them, Marta will find how they really are.
