A day in the life of Arnošt, a soldier staying in Josefov. A sense of desperation permeates the environment as well as the mind of the protagonist. It is sunday, and saturday left just a hangover. Days go by, nothing changes. A metaphor for the political situation in the Czech lands at a time where depicting a soldier as a drunk was considered out of place to say the least.

Lazar segue o cristianismo e é pai da jovem Marketa Lazarová. Quando Lazar recusa-se a ajudar Kozlík numa guerra, Mikolás, o filho de Kozlík, sequetra Marketa, que se preparava para entrar num convento. Mas o amor dos filhos dos rivais, Mikolas Kozlik e Marketa Lazarova, é condenado por ambas as famílias.

Honza Vavrinec (Rudolf Hrusínský) works in the investment department of a large office. One day he gets involved in the case of an unjustly convicted worker who mistakenly considers him a parliamentary deputy. Honza as a "deputy" interferes in the case and helps the worker. Encouraged by the success and possibly also out of love for the beautiful secretary Svatava (Blanka Bohdanová), the then shy and fearful Honza stands up for the chief of the department, Hofmánek (Ladislav Pesek), who has been removed from his position.

Uma pequena cidade é de um dia visitada por um padre que está lá numa missão secreta. Ele é um membro da Inquisição enviado para investigar as atividades de um moleiro local. O moleiro e seu filho são descendentes duma antiga família cuja casa ancestral foi incendiada há um século, mas foi reconstruida a partir do zero. O moleiro herdou muito do seu conhecimento sobre a terra, a água, e estabilidade de edifícios de gerações de experiência familiar. A fama dele em água e prever quando uma estrutura poderá entrar em colapso chamaram a atenção da Inquisição - certamente ele deve estar aliado com o Diabo.
Farmer
Based on a novel by Maria Majerova, this well-photographed but routine romantic drama is directed and co-scripted by Vaclav Krska. Set in a more old-fashioned time, the story centers around Lenka (Suzana Fisarskova), a young woman with a domineering, psychologically abusive father. When Lenka falls in love she suffers the ultimate injustice when her father and her family forbid her to marry the man. They see no advantage in such a union and want her to marry a wealthy local landowner instead, for obvious reasons. But Lenka is not as submissive as they think and she runs away to the city to look for the man she loves -- only to find a serious problem, though a surmountable one, is waiting for her.
