Velu's only dream is to become a police officer. One night after having dinner at a restaurant near the beach, Velu goes to pay the bill leaving his girlfriend Laila behind. At that moment, a corrupt police officer drinks and urinates besides Laila. Irritated, she scolds him. He attempts to rape her but is beaten up by Velu severely and receives a scar on his face. Angered by this, he seeks revenge against Velu.

Chandru's grandfather is going to visit him but Chandru has spent all his money. So he requests his wealthy friend, Rakesh, to pose as the owner of all the riches till his grandfather stays with him.

Bagavathi, a tea vendor, has big dreams for his younger brother, Guna. However, when Guna's girlfriend's father kills him, Bagavathi must fight to protect Guna's unborn child.

The mother much against the boy’s wish packs off Ajith’s twin brother with a family who offer to adopt him, who had been witness to the murderer from a close quarter, to a distant town. He escapes from the family and goes to Tuticorin and grows to become a gangster there. When the younger Ajith visits Tuticorin, he comes across his elder brother. Seizing the opportunity, the elder brother kidnaps the younger one and decides to go as the driving instructor to Chennai. Initially, he plans to take revenge on his mother for packing him off from their house at a very young age. He hurts her at every step and even plans to sell off all their property.

DCP Paramaguru (Ajith) an efficient police officer who fights with the scum of the society. He later masquerades as a thief to infiltrate into the underworld. The bad guys are surprised to find that Paramguru is the DCP, out to get them. So they all gang up against him. In this process a thrilling encounter takes place between the good and the evil. Paramaguru is helped in his fight against injustice by Divya (Meera Jasmine) who falls in love with him.

A village cook Ramji goes to Australia to become a chef at a multi-millionaire Indian's home. Unfortunately, the millionaire dies of indigestion the day Ramji arrives, leaving him jobless with an expired visa. Desperate to stay and earn, he starts working illegally as a cook, but to stay on, he needs to get legal. A solution comes up when Damayanthi, a free-spirited biker, agrees to marry the docile cook for a price.

A vegetable vendor takes care of an elderly woman and her two young daughters, but he has a dark past that wants to catch up with him.

Komboodhi is the leader of a tribe that steals from the rich to survive. He befriends Varipuli, unaware of his past, only to learn that his village has been hunting him to offer his life to god.
