Buenos Aires, 1880. A journalist interviews Manuel Esteban Corvalán, one of the last living men who crossed the Andes in 1817 with José de San Martín, during the Argentinian and Chilean wars of independence, as one of his secretaries, when he was only 15 years old.

Martín starts going out with a handsome older boy who is very kind to him and invites him home. Suddenly, the quiet life of the protagonist seems destined to undergo unexpected change which will force him to grow up. But it is Martín who must decide how to react when he falls in love for the first time, and whether to accept the fact that his grandmother will leave him.
