Забавная анимационная зарисовка, приглашающая зрителей в закулисье артиста. Артист необычный — певчая птица, которая наводит марафет в последние минуты перед выступлением. Публика остается за кадром, и действие мультфильма разворачивается в гримерке певца. Там есть все, чтобы «вооружить» маэстро перед выходом в свет. Артисту нужно надеть выходной костюм, добавить лоску, выпить для храбрости и голоса. В этом маэстро помогает механическая рука: она чистит и прихорашивает хозяина, пока тот распевается. Впрочем, кто хозяин, а кто — марионетка, становится ясно в финале мультфильма — коротком и звонком, как птичье пение.
