In these uncertain, ever evolving and changing times, inspiration and entertainment come from equally bizarre places. People long for togetherness and one thing that always brings out the best in experiencing something together, is food. But what happens when you twist around some of the core ideas of enjoying food, and what “a meal” even means? What if you have a bizarre curiosity to see someone eat really weird food combinations, and actually have someone provide you with that? What if what you’re looking for isn’t comfort and relaxation, but something that will make you question what your self-isolation mind finds as entertainment?

Eat What With Who is a digital dining table and everyone is invited to join. This flm dives into the colourful, bizarre world of gastronomic voyeurism – following a social phenomenon that takes root from food porn, modernity and new online behaviours. Along with the rest of the world, Mukbang is now part of the Singaporean youth online diet and it is characteristic of our relationship with food, culture and technology.

Gulosus (the glutton), is an alluring yet disturbing view of gluttony in contemporary culture. The film is in stop motion, with one photo being taken every 6 seconds, and contains over 130 individual sound effects and foley sounds. The piece draws from the compositions of traditional vanitas paintings and photography. It was also heavily influenced by a genre of youtube called 'Mukbang' (korean for 'eating show'), where people consume mass amounts of unhealthy and idealistic foods for viewers to watch. All of these elements came together to form an opinion on greed and vanity through a relatable but confronting menu. Inspired by the online phenomenon of Korean eating videos that make people droll and feast, Mukbang presents the visualisation and mental reflection of the binging culture through an eventful dinner experience.

Two years have passed since the final battle with Sephiroth. In the year 2029, the barriers of our world have been broken down by the net and by cybernetics, but this brings new vulnerability to humans in the form of brain-hacking. When a highly-wanted hacker known as 'The Puppetmaster' begins involving them in politics, Section 9, a group of cybernetically enhanced cops, are called in to investigate and stop the Puppetmaster.
