Synopsis
In the glitzy, glittering futuristic world of 1994, music is king -- and the man who controls it is all-powerful malicious mogul Mr. Boogalow. Now he has his eye on two fresh-faced young singers, Alphie and Bibi, who score a hit at his WorldVision Song Festival and fall under the irresistible spell of fame, money, and temptation.
Two best friends, Johanna and Jeanne, live in the small town of Decazeville, a mining town in France and sing in the music group "The Sirens". Suddenly their paths in music and in life drastically change...

Het sprookje van de kleine zeemeermin, begint op een mooie dag wanneer bij een plotse, hevige storm, het schip van de prins met man en muis vergaat. De prins wordt gered door de kleine zeemeermin en zingt, met haar mooie zuivere stem, een prachtig lied voor hem. Helaas mag ze van haar vader geen contact hebben met de mensenwereld. Vlak voordat de prins ontwaakt, duikt de kleine zeemeermin dan ook weer snel terug de zee in. Wanneer de prins weer wakker is, herinnert hij zich alleen nog maar een prachtige stem, maar van wie? het meisje met deze prachtige stem, moet zijn bruid worden! En zo begint de zoektocht van de prins naar zijn bruid. De gemene zeeheks heeft alles gehoord en gezien in haar magische bol. Ze vind dit de ideale kans om haar domme en lelijke dochter aan een man te helpen. De zeeheks bedenkt een gemeen plan om de kleine zeemeermin en de knappe prins niet dicht bij elkaar te laten komen. Gaat het de zeeheks lukken, of overwint de echte liefde?
