Synopsis
「 伝えたいこと 」is an important message on the future of a group called CY8ER.
A young Spanish woman who has newly moved to Berlin finds her flirtation with a local guy turn potentially deadly as their night out with his friends reveals a dangerous secret.
Six single-take stories connecting the most important minutes in characters' lives.
A group of students travel to a remote region to participate in a kite-flying event. Next to their camp by the lakeside, they find a restaurant with cooks that treat the students with suspicion. Bizarre events lead to a complicated situation, from which the students cannot escape.
A haunting in real time. A beautiful young woman is subjected to a grueling night of terror - all accomplished in one take, as she investigates paranormal reports at an abandoned facility.
A heated argument breaks out when Carlos finds out his longtime girlfriend Maria is pregnant.
A couple's break up gets out of hand as the man tries to woo his woman back in a strange house. Hijinks ensue.
A woman drives in her car, wearing a grave look on her face. In the background, we hear the sounds of the freeway. The camera often captures her face, but occasionally we look at her from behind. Hypnotising lines on the road whiz by. Just like trees and other elements surrounding the road. Some short telephone conversations alternate with long silences. Meanwhile, the spectator travels along with the woman for many miles. Next, her phone rings for the third time. It turns out to be her lover. Gradually, the nature of the conversation becomes clear. It is their final, but intense and extensive talk. One time, the tone is very impersonal, another time defiant or even particularly emotional. More and more becomes clear about the two characters and their past relationship.
In these three short films, we examine key issues in the American cultural conversation—incarceration, race, life, death, digital culture, gender—through a distorted lens. They may be fictional, but these dizzying one-take videos do have the ring of truth.
Six families in different compartments of a train, moving through a rainy night. In a single, 145-minute take, the film depicts the families and how their lives are interwoven with each other. Vacillating between dream and reality, each story builds on the one before and leads into the next. Each destiny is influenced by the other one on board, and all hurtle to the same destination.
A young woman confronts her boyfriend to discuss the future of their relationship — on her own unique terms.
A teenager overhears a phone call and inserts himself into the father-son story behind it. As this strange 'conversation' develops, two separately wounded lives slowly wind into a double helix of pain, regret, and filial love.
A one-take short film where a drone flies into a bowling alley.
A regular Wednesday night in Tokyo's subway. The train is filled with more and more people...
