The Return (2017)

Eustacia Vye, an exquisite beauty despairing at her boring life on an English moor, sets up a fateful lovers' triangle when she uses her wiles to entice two men, a dashing suitor and a successful man who made his name abroad and returned to his home on the heath.

Last year, my grandfather died. The film begins with the words "Last year, my grandfather died," and the filmmaker turns his attention to his grandmother, who is left behind. She says she could die at any time, but she lives on. The artist's fingers crawl over the grandmother's face, caressing the wrinkles. Her mother supports her as she gives her a bath. The artist, who says that one cannot avoid one's own blood or family when thinking about oneself, tries to question one's own existence by looking at the grandmother.

Jaggi, a farmer, travels to Australia in order to save his village. Once there, he is chased by a few goons and ultimately kidnaps a girl from her own wedding.

THE RETURN chronicles the journey of Rocky Bleier, who won a National Championship at Notre Dame, was wounded in the Vietnam War, told he would never play football again, then went on to win 4 Super Bowls with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Five decades after being wounded, Bleier returned to Vietnam.

But Savannah's strongest opposition comes from her possessive boyfriend Robert Lee who later arrives and plans to break Savannah and Jake up by buying the Two Moon Junction property to evict Jake from the area.
