On the occasion of Jean Paul Gaultier's 40-year career and his show "Fashion Freak Show" at the Folies Bergère, France 2 has given carte blanche to the most famous French couturier of the world who has created for the first time a great show of varieties fully immersed in his universe. Jean Paul Gaultier who, in his childhood, dreamed while watching the variety shows of Maritie and Gilbert Carpentier, takes the reins of this great entertainment mixing music and fashion.

When Conny died at the age of only 47, his son Stephan was just 13 years old. Twenty-five years later, together with co-director Reto Caduff, he went in search of the man he often only experienced behind the mixing desk as a child. At the same time it became the search for the artistic legacy of his father.

This film is made up several sketches in which certain actors play several real or fictional roles to a background of rock music. The lead character, played by Godard himself, is an annoyingly perfectionist film-maker determined to wring every last drop of the finest performance possible from his stars.

Herbert, a Candide-like idealistic teenager, wants to become a doctor to help humanity, but his parents insist that he become a rich aviator. Herbert runs away to study medicine with a wise old Boulugre, and vows to help the natives of undeveloped countries. He finds that the Boulugres are a tribe whose men have a disgusting mushroom growing from their heads. He develops a vaccine for them, wants to give it to them free, and fights with Chousk, a pharmaceutical tycoon who wants to sell it to them. But the Boulugres are deathly afraid of needles and refuse to be inoculated by anyone. Herbert, disillusioned, escapes into love with a Yugoslav airline stewardess.

The head of state of a small African country arrives incognito on a visit, but causes scandal and trouble with his wild parties and sexual escapades.

Manuella (Olinka Hardiman) is a young and rich heiress married to Jean-Pierre (Gabriel Pontello). The latter is the director of the company owned by his wife, who merely signs contracts and invoices. Manuella suffers from a trauma that dates back to adolescence, when she witnessed the rape and then the murder of her older sister Nathalie (Cathy Greiner) by a simple-minded man. A shock she never recovered, which leads regularly to depression, even violent crises requiring treatment that administers her husband through bites. In order to change his ideas, Jean-Pierre takes his wife to winter sports, in Haute-Savoie where he rented a chalet (between Megève and Chamonix). He meets his mistress Françoise (Catherine Ringer), accompanied by her Patrick, his friend, who is aware of the liaison of his girlfriend with Jean-Pierre. In fact, the latter, with the help of Françoise, plans to sink Manuella into irreversible madness, in order to seize his property.

Emy joins a group of charming young ladies applying at a school. The school's headmistress initially welcomes Emy. Then she rejects her, but agrees after letting her undergo a medical examination. The movie, shot in Italian with a primarily Italian cast and an Italian director in 1981, with the title "Quella porcacciona di mia moglie," was caught in a censorship scandal and was repackaged with French inserts (and several different titles) and redubbed for the French market. It was later released in Italy in 1983.

Young Marc inherits a lingerie shop and sales have skyrocketed since he took over. The female clientele pours in since the fitting room has become the scene of increasing intimate pleasure. Exhausted, Marc decides to hire, Aline, a young, sassy saleswoman.

Orfelia (Susane Larson) has just been married to a rich villa-owner and they meet in the garden. As he thinks she is not experienced enough in sexual matters, he decide to bring her in a castle, where she will get a 'decent' sexual education by a couple. While riding in the car Orfelia experiment a new technique. Once there, she'll meet different people like the Mistress and the Master, played by Catherine Ringer and Alain Martin. But first, she is dressed up by Sylvie (Marianne Aubert). An the then the education begin. The film starts with a scene where Ofelia runs away but is caught by the Mistress. This scene should obviously be somewhere in the middle of the movie to make this scene match with the story.

A couple experience some difficulties in their sex life when a German au pair girl arrives.

Jacques Gateau with his wife Dominique Saint Claire leads a theatrical troupe round country districts in a red double-decker Leyland bus (passenger entry at rear, but there is no anal in this film!). A rich man asks them to stay at his mansion and performs in a play he has written. This turns out to be hard core and they leave, but their bus breaks down. After Jacques sends his daughter to seduce a mechanic from the next village to repair it and two other girls lead the mechanic off into the woods for a threesome to avoid paying, they return to the mansion and do the play. Jacques' daughter marries the rich man and there is a wedding party orgy on the bus.

Olga, Sarah and Mireille live a peaceful life on their own without sorrows. The only guy they need is their dumb servant, Lucien, who prepares the meals and does the shopping. Mireille, a fortune teller, is the first one who recognizes that things are going to change. She predicts that two guys and one woman will enter their lives soon and that's exactly what's going to happen.

Martine is a spoiled socialite who loves to tease, chasing every thrill and every high. On her 21st birthday she has to make a decision between the love she knows and the lust she is to learn.

Love Inferno is the story of a smouldering family conflict which ends in disaster.

Respectable Monsieur Léon, nicely portrayed by Antoine Fontaine, is an unassuming bank teller by day, lover for hire with a specialist sideline in spanking by night!
