He does so and, after a few incidents in which things do not appear to be going his way and some scattered 'ole's, wins the hand of his fair lady.

The jungle birds and animals are irritated at being hunted (especially by an American goose and alley-cat), hold a counsel and devise ways and means to harass the unwelcome invaders. Gandy and Cat put up an inept fight and driven away.

A jungle land radio station run by monkeys pulls a prank by reporting an invasion from space is occurring and a large cutout face is hoisted above the trees so all can see. Fireworks are employed to sound like a war has started. The King, a Lion with a Bert Lahr voice, finally exposes the fakers. Inspired by Orson Welles' "War Of the Worlds" radio hoax.

Gandy reads a book about detectives and decides he should become one. He wears a Sherlock Holmes-style cap and uses a magnifying glass, but he encounters movie monsters like Frankenstein and Dracula out in the woods.

Ride 'em, Cowgirl
Sandy Doyle, gambler and political chief of a small border town, seeks to gain control of the Bar-X Ranch, owned by Rufe Rickson, to further some undercover activities of his own. He counts on Rickson's inability to stay away from gambling as the means to his ultimate success. Government investigator Oliver Shea and his assistant, Dan Haggerty, start a fight in Doyle's place when they see Rickson being cheated and are invited to the Bar-X where Oliver and Helen Rickson, Rufe's daughter, discover interest in each other and Dan finds himself pursued by Bell, the ranch cook. Sheriff Larson brings the prize money for the $5,000 race of the Rodeo Association, and that night it is stolen.
