Shin Adachi

A countryside in 1988. Shun is crazy about fooling around with his best friends. Facing up with their family environment or bullying in school, they struggle against the problems in their adolescents.

A treasure appears in front of antique dealer Norio Koike (Kiichi Nakai) and potter Sasuke (Kuranosuke Sasaki). The treasure is Hideyoshi Toyotomi’s chawan (procelain tea bowl) called Houou, that has been missing.

Sawa lives in a small port town called Hososhima in Hyuga City. He is a cheerful person who supports a single mother, Yoshiko, and also takes care of a junior high school younger brother. On the other hand, my divorced father, Takuji Tamayama, is a clumsy but hateful man who lives surfing. Sawa visits his father from time to time and takes care of him. The film is about poor children and 'The Kids' Diner', a place where they can go to get free or cheap food.

Takako Kojima works as an announcer in Tokyo, Japan. She is tired of living in Tokyo and she doesn't see a bright future for herself. One day, she is assigned to cover a festival in Minamiosumi, Kagoshima Prefecture. Takako spent her childhood in the town of Minamiosumi and this will be her first time going there in many years. A failed director is trying to get his next movie off the ground, while dealing with his cranky brother and his estranged wife.

Nakayama Sachi was abandoned by her mother Yumi when she was 5 years old and grew up at an orphanage. Now that she has turned 20, she works a part-time job late night at a supermarket which opens 24 hours. Besides that, drawing pictures is her only emotional refuge. One day, Sachi is accosted by one of the supermarket's regular customers, Mayu, a 17-year-old girl who has runaway from home. On the first day of their meeting, Mayu comes to live at Sachi's apartment, and like a stray cat, she ends up staying. Mayu is cheerful but there is something fragile about her, and Sachi cannot thrust her away. A couple of days later, Sachi hears from her uncle, Nakayama Naoyuki, that he has found her mother.
