Trip to Timbuktu is the story of Ana and Lucho, two teenagers who live in Peru. Their story of love, which starts in childhood, reveals the changes which took place in this country during the 80's. For them, the only way to survive in the middle of violence, poverty and lack of opportunities is through their love, a sort of refuge which has as its homeland an imaginary country called Timbuktu. Nevertheless, the reality will stand in their way and collapse their utopia.

Pilar shares his quiet home in the country of Peru with Consuelo, Milagro and Tuna. The daily routine of this house is interrupted by a call from his daughter who will visit her along with her ​​granddaughter and newborn great granddaughter. For one night these three generations of mothers have to live under the same roof.

Number 7 is home to Janet, a pregnant prostitute. She lives with Leslie, her junkie colleague. They know they have no future. But they have a plan. They need to go to Miami. The father of Janet's unborn child has the money they need. And they have decided to take the respect they are owed. Above the girls lives Fredy. He is in love with Álvaro, who has AIDS. Together they have established a shelter where people infected with HIV can find company. But Álvaro is dimming. Fredy won't accept it, but Alvaro has little time left. Three stories to continue sharing the same Condominium. ¿Where do YOU live?

A family longs to be on a TV show which does in-depth exposés of different real families every week. When they are finally selected they decide to change their lives completely so that the audience sees them as they want to be seen, not as they really are.

An ambitious black comedy that tells three loosely related stories: a couple of elderly landowners, laid low by economic conditions and reformist politics, are trying to gather enough money to build themselves a marble tomb that would keep their remains in the style to which they still aspire; they give their now blind former housekeeper a pig that proves to be more trouble than it's worth as the effort to fatten it up destroys what little family the woman has; and one of the couple's tenants, who is presenter of a relentlessly optimistic radio self-help show, tries to put his own counsel into effect when he saves a young woman from suicide.
