History

Halina Bielińska was a Polish film director, animator, screenwriter, set designer and illustrator of children's books. A graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, Halina Bielińska was one of the pioneers of animation in Poland. Together with Włodzimierz Haup, their film Zmiana warty (Changing of the Guard) was awarded the Short Film Prize at the Cannes Film Festival in 1959. Daughter of Edmund Krüger and sister of Maria Krüger.
