Watterson’s work has been called “wildly inventive” (Hollywood Reporter), “dazzlingly original” (Empire), and “fresh and inventive” (Rotten Tomatoes). He is an ex-rocker whose feature film directorial debut, the practical effects-driven fantasy Dave Made A Maze, won the Audience Award at its World Premiere at Slamdance. The film has gone on to win over 20 Audience and Jury Prizes, a Saturn Award, is distributed in over 40 countries, and is Certified Fresh. Known for his tactile world-building and his ability to orchestrate unique tonal mash-ups, he has directed music videos, commercials, children’s content, and lots of cool stuff you can’t watch because NDA’s. He is currently working with Village Roadshow and The Jim Henson Company on an original project and yes, it has monsters and puppets and robots and stuff.
