John V. Knowles

History

John V. Knowles is an American film director. An army brat, Knowles grew up on military bases all over the world. He earned his BFA in graphic design from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. In 2005, he formed Weirdsmobile Productions, Inc. with his wife Lotti. He has written and directed a variety of other projects, including commercials, corporate videos, web series and music videos. John wrote and directed the techno-thriller short film SHADOW.NET, which was based on a WIRED Magazine article about the underground world of Internet movie piracy, and is now being developed as a television series. John made his feature directing debut with the horror/comedy CHASTITY BITES. The feature was written and produced by his wife Lotti Pharriss Knowles, made under their Weirdsmobile Productions banner.
