"Inside the Songs of Sacred Love" proves to be a great showcase for his other band members and provides an interesting look at all of the masterful talent behind Sting.

This DVD contains a behind the scenes documentary film and an intimate concert performance by Sting. The documentary is a candid look at the genesis, development and realisation of Sting's live CD. A young Pakistani, living in England thinks that he is a cowboy and dreams of leading his country music band to success in Nashville. He meets a young woman who leaves her abusive husband and joins their group as a singer, but when they get a break with a record company, the company is only interested in her. Taking the proceeds of the sale of their family home, they finally set out to achieve their dream in Nashville. There are several comic sub-plots as well, the main one revolving around a biker gang out to get the family.

Recorded during a series of concerts at The Hague in early May 1991, this show is from 10 May and served as a benefit gig for Kurd Aid. It isn't a full length performance of course, but still remains interesting. Several of the performances were released as live b-sides on 'Ten Summoner's Tales' era singles. Perhaps of most interest is the live version of Hendrix's 'Purple Haze', a rip-roaring crowd favourite from that tour.
