Jimi Hendrix: Hear My Train a Comin'
Self - Musician

Zappa Plays Zappa - House Of Blues 2015
Himself
The music of psychedelic mind-bender Frank Zappa lives on thanks to his son. Fronting the foremost Zappa tribute band, guitarist Dweezil Zappa spent three years studying the intricate music and physical performances of his father's legacy, emerging as a fully-fledged artist in his own right. In association with the Zappa Family Trust, the show has become the closest thing to Zappa Senior in style and sound. Taking up the musical reigns of a musical chameleon like Frank Zappa is no mean feat, for his staggering creative output ranged from the complexities of progressive rock to avant garde jazz tinged with wry political and social commentaries. Yet Zappa Plays Zappa is no mere tribute band. Backed by a stellar crew of musicians, including some of Frank's original line-up, Dweezil channels the weird wizardry so perfectly it's as if his father never left this earthly plane.
Frank Zappa - Summer '82: When Zappa Came to Sicily
Himself
In the feature documentary, Summer 82 - When Zappa Came to Sicily, filmmaker and Zappa fan Salvo Cuccia tells the behind-the-scenes story of Frank Zappa's star-crossed concert in Palermo, Sicily, the wrap-up to a European tour that ended in public disturbances and police intervention. Cuccia had a ticket to the concert but never made it. Thirty years later, collaborating with Zappa's family, he re-creates the events through a combination of rare concert and backstage footage; photographs; anecdotes from family, band members, and concertgoers; and insights from Zappa biographer and friend Massimo Bassoli. The story is also a personal one, as Cuccia interweaves the story of Zappa's trip to Sicily with his own memories from that summer.

Zappa's Universe
Himself
This live recording is a true gem for Zappa fans. It features acrobatic muscianship of the highest order played straight from the heart and mind. Mike Keneally's guitar work left my jaw slack especially after hearing him play Jazz Discharge Party Hats in which he both talks and doubles his vocal pitches with the guitar at the same time. Additionally he plays Zappa's impossible synclavier composition Night School with pin point accuracy. Steve Vai, guitar god and the king of impossible guitar parts gives a burning heartfelt rendition of Zappa's Sofa. This is one of Vai's best performances captured on disc.
The Running Man
Stevie
By 2017, the global economy has collapsed and U.S. society has become a totalitarian police state, censoring all cultural activity. The government pacifies the populace by broadcasting a number of game shows in which convicted criminals fight for their lives, including the gladiator-style The Running Man, hosted by the ruthless Damon Killian, where “runners” attempt to evade “stalkers” and certain death for a chance to be pardoned and set free.

Frank Zappa
Self
The Documentary centers around Zappa at home, and on Tour. The amazing thing is that Zappa allowed a guy with a camera to film the band at the Fillmore West w/ Flo and Eddie. There are times when the camera man seems to be on the stage. The performance is recorded from only one camera angle. There are only 4-5 songs presented here.....and Zappa referring to the Fillmore West as the ‘Psychedelic Dungeon’ is priceless………..It is a great piece of history.
